Fishing System
Talk to Captain Marlin (@go fishing) to purchase fishing equipment or trade in your catches for costumes or headgears.
To get started, you will need two things:
1. A fishing rod
2. Some bait
Both items can be bought at the fishing supply shop.
There are three levels of bait, and each level increases the timing window during the reeling minigame — making it easier to catch fish.
However, not every catch will be easy. You may reel up an angry fish. These fish, although weak, are aggressive and will attack you upon being hooked!
How to Fish
| Step | Description |

| Buy your gear | Visit Captain Marlin at the Capital dock to purchase a Fishing Rod and some bait. |
| Find a fishing spot | Look for an unoccupied Fishing Spot along the dock.
Click one to begin, then select your rod and bait to cast your line. |
| Wait for a bite | The fishing spot will show a ./… emote while you're waiting. Stay alert!

| Hook the fish | When a fish bites, the emote changes to ./!.
Click quickly on the fishing spot to hook the fish before it escapes with your bait! |
| Reel it in | A chat box minigame will appear above the spot, showing a moving line and a set of brackets.
Click on the fishing spot when the line is within the brackets to reel in the fish. 1. With each successful click, the brackets get narrower, making the timing trickier but pulling the fish closer. 2. Mistimed clicks let the fish slip further away. If it escapes, you'll lose your bait! 3. Take too much time and your line will break, letting the fish swim away with your bait. |
Fishing Supply Shop
Captain Marlin also runs the Fishing Supply Shop, where you can purchase rods and bait to get started with fishing.
Upgrading your gear will improve your fishing speed and hook timing — critical if you want to reel in rarer catches or angry fish!
